i very foolishly overwrote a file i had been working on for the last 3 hours. Just as I was about to commit it to git. 😓
Luckily I was able to recover it by grepping for a known line on the device node of my /home filesystem. Very ugly, but I got the file back!
I really need to get into the habit of committing more frequently, but I don't like committing things that aren't in a working state yet and would break the CI pipeline, even if it is just a temporary break.
